Another early morning again. The night before I had ordered room service for breakfast today. Shortly after 7 am our continental breakfast arrived. The chocolate milk alone on the cruise is worth the trip. So it was time to get up, put our swimming suits on and have a quick bite to eat and head ashore. We were docked at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, and our FAVORITE place on earth, yes even more favorite than Disneyland!
When we stepped off the ship there was a massive Christmas tree, and two "snow" people made out of sand. We were happy to take the towels being handed to us. We took a short walk to the post office and took pictures with Olaf who was dancing the hula.

| This Christmas tree wouldn't even fit in our house. HUGE! |
 |
| Merry Christmas from the Bahamas! |

| Our favorite snowman Olaf! |
Then another short walk to the tram which we rode to the 2nd stop.
 |
| You know with Disney everything is decorated, even the tram. |
Here we checked in for our cabana and picked up our snorkel gear. Next we loaded onto golf carts and were whisked away to our cabanas, #8 and #9. HEAVEN! Each cabana had an indoor room with a small couch, tables, mini fridge stocked with drinks and cool towels, there was also snacks and a bowl of fresh fruit. On the beach side of the cabana there was a porch with a double lounger , then down the steps to tone side was a hammock and the other a fresh water shower.

 |
| Nothing like a rest in the hammock. |
The beach was beautiful and completely uncrowded. The kids swam and found hermit crabs. Renae even found a starfish. We sat in beach chairs with our feet buried in the sand. This was really paradise. I enjoyed laying on a float and getting sunburned for a bit. The water was fantastic.

Around 11 we went to Cookies 2 to get lunch. It was a buffet with salads, fruit, hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, chicken and chocolate chip cookies as big as your hand. They also had the ever popular soft serve, self service ice cream machine. We filled several trays with more food than we would ever eat and headed back to our cabana to enjoy our lunch. We had an uninvited guest! A lizard with a crazy twirled up tail decided that he wanted to join us. I was having none of it!
 |
| Crazy lizard…he was not invited to my party! |
 |
| Yep, I squealed like a girl and jumped on the couch. |
After lunch we spent more time sitting on the beach and we even enjoyed a virgin pina colada. Dan took a bike ride out to the observation tower and took a few pictures. The girls continued to swim and look for sea creatures. Soon it would be time to head over to feed and swim with the stingrays.
Stay tuned…...
